talk about color blocking

so aside from wanting to vacation here i think that this picture lends the perfect inspiration to color blocking. its such a huge trend this year in fashion and its spilling over into interiors. of course you dont have to be so bold and be trendy in the major rooms in your home but if you wanted to freshen it up a bit color blocked pillows or art could be a great addition to any room.

Its in The Bag

         Every time I go shopping I always save the shopping bags. By now I have a huge shopping bag collection that rivals my shoe collection (which is massive, I'm talking Imelda Marcos and her infamous shoes). I rarely reuse the bags, I just can't part with them, souvenirs from my favorite hobby. I don't want them to get ripped or bent out of shape.  I have bags with in bags just like those wooden dolls that start with the very big doll and the dolls keep getting smaller and smaller with in each other. 

        I just stumbled upon this picture and thought it was a brilliant way to preserve the shopping bags and be decorative at the same time. 

The Absence Of Color

This installation was done for a Chanel fashion show. It is a monochrome arrangement of roses, daisies, leaves and petals winding their way up the staircase and draped over the railings. The flowers are handmade out of PAPER. How amazing would this be hanging on a wall in someone's home?? I am going to try and acheive this..................Stay tuned...................
